I completed my M.Sc in 2006 at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. In this project I investigated parasitoid-mediated selection in experimental populations of aphids. After my studies I worked as a teacher and outreach in environmental education for Pro Natura, Switzerland's leading nature conservation organization. From 2010 to mid 2012 I worked as lab technician in Christoph Vorburger's Group at Eawag, Switzerland.
Research and Responsibilities
My current position as lab technician and lab manager in Paul Rainey's group is very diverse and interesting. Just to mention a few of my tasks: My main responsibility is to organize the molecular genetic laboratory. I am in charge of the lab's equipment and purchasing as well as assisting with project related budgeting. On the research side of my work, I am assisting Peter Lind in his project on the evolution of wrinkly spreaders. I am involved in the experimental and laboratory part of this project.
